Morse privacy

This policy applies to Morse Code: Learn by Ear for Android, published by Summit Ave Technologies LLC (package xyz.kevintang.morse). It explains the app’s data handling, including the Google services it uses.

Practice on your device

Your letter progress, practice scores, settings and streaks are stored in the app’s private storage on your device. The app has no account system, advertising, social feed or developer-operated analytics server. We do not upload your practice history or the messages you tap in SEND. Copy sends a message to your device’s clipboard only when you choose Copy.

Handwriting and Google ML Kit

Optional handwriting answers use Google ML Kit Digital Ink Recognition. You can use the letter buttons without downloading a handwriting model. If you enable handwriting, the app downloads an English recognition model from Google. Recognition runs on your device; your handwriting strokes and recognized answers are not sent to us.

Google ML Kit collects technical information for diagnostics and usage analytics, including device and app information, installation identifiers, performance measurements, SDK configuration, feature and model-download events, error codes, and configured language. SDK initialization and model-availability checks may occur when you open listening practice, even before you enable handwriting. These technical data are encrypted in transit. We do not use them for advertising or profiling.

Purchases

Morse Pro is an optional one-time purchase through Google Play. Google handles checkout, payment information and purchase records under its own policies. The app reads your Pro purchase status and saves a signed receipt in private device storage to verify access, including offline access. We do not receive your payment-card details. Restoring purchases asks Google Play for purchases associated with your Play account.

If we provide a complimentary access code, the app validates it locally and stores it in private storage excluded from cloud backup. No account, payment or network request is needed to redeem it. You can remove complimentary access in Settings; this does not change any Google Play purchase.

Audio and permissions

The app generates Morse tones and may use an installed offline text-to-speech voice for hints. It does not request microphone, camera, contacts or location access. Internet access supports model downloads and Google Play services. The app does not record your voice.

Support, retention and deletion

If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever you include. We use it to respond and resolve the request, and retain correspondence as needed for support and applicable recordkeeping. Our email providers process messages for delivery and storage. You can request deletion of support correspondence by emailing martini-doubler7g@icloud.com.

You can delete local progress and settings by clearing this app’s storage in Android Settings or uninstalling the app. Local practice data is not included in Android cloud backup. Clearing app data does not cancel or erase a Google Play purchase; use Google Play’s account and privacy controls for Google-held purchase and SDK records. We cannot delete data held independently by Google.

Audience

Morse is designed for teens and adults learning Morse code. It is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child sent us personal information in a support request, contact us so we can address it.

Changes and contact
